Always a pleasure to read you.

Good to read there is an improvement.
Let's hope it's from a genuine understanding instead of pleasing you, or acting out of a character.

Time to breathe and laugh !
Behold the presence of the Father in all beings...

After reading all of this, I would like to add my feelings. Since my divorce I want to meet someone, but I don't want a full time relationship.
I guess, everyone needs time to deal with the past, adjust and yet we need to be with someone! That's not wrong, just hard to understand
for others who aren't living it.
I started with web sites to meet and all I could read in descriptions was "want to meet the love of my life","want someone to spend my life with"
      etc. Total turn off!
Think it's hard for a man to not expect we want it all the way. Stick to what you feel and congrats for communicating it with your partner.
If he understands, then i'm sure you'll both be better in the long run! Keep going!

BD, define foundation? You keep memtioning that. He seems perfect. Handsome, kind, not a creep, etc. You've already had sex, so I'm assuming its not a lack of skill/selflessness/size issue.

He might be insecure and clingy. But if every guy feels this way, maybe you are just too amazing to beilieve and hence the constant desire to be with you.

As a guy who's had next to zero experience dating, if I did date someone I'd probably be clingy too. Unless I didn't really care for them at all.
