    Forgiveness

I wonder why people want so badly to be forgiven but then can't give it in return.

    Point:

The man I was involved with wouldn't stop so on Monday I had had all I could take and sent an email explaining in great detail how I felt, not good either. I made alot of valid points about what he does to women and how he treats people. Even after the email was sent to him he preceded to go on and on. After I thought this was done he preceded to attack me in text messaging. I was very ugly there too.

After some time to cool down, today, I sent a short message just saying I am not in anyway making excuses for what I said but I will apologize for some of the things I said that were outta line. His reponse was that's nice your sorry but I will not forgive you for it. Now I wasn't necessarily looking for forgiveness but I feel that he shouldn't have acted that way. He has preached at me constantly about forgiving him but he doesn't do the same in return. He has always said he treats people how he wants to be treated, but how can that be true?

I know thats just the type of person he is and I probably shouldn't have apologized in the first place for standing up for myself. Maybe I just have to big of a heart and a conscious that makes me feel guilty for things I say or do even though the other person does not. He has been way worse to me and never apologized or give a half-hearted apology. I guess thats just how some people are and that they aren't worth even worrying over.

I hate that anyone has to go through this... but I think we all have to. I once apologized to a guy (who cheated on me) for calling him a pig, and though I forgave him for his mistakes (though did not get back with him) he said that he wasn't God, so he couldn't forgive me.

    hmmmm

Don't feel bad for apologizing, it's good that you did especially if you insulted him (he probably deserved it... but still...)

Don't worry about him, just learn from your mistakes and stay far away from people like him!!

    Best of luck!

I always apologise if I'm wrong, and am capable of forgiving.

My ex always made an excuse, eg, I would have apologised until you were nasty about it too, now I won't. Which was lame.

Personally? You should never change who you are. If you felt the need to make an apology, then that's your priogrative, as you are you... Hearts? Why not - we feel from it, we talk from it... That is you, don't change.

As for him? Bitter, bitter, bitter, he's lost one of his litter!!!!!! (Smile)

You know:- " Truth hurts" that's a fact.... Guess he didn't like hearing the truth then.......

Don't change....... your just seeing his true colours and they're like a faded rainbow whilst your rainbow is crisp and clear and sharp. x

Yeah, the first couple of times I let it slide, and just thought, yeah I did handle that badly anyway... But after a while, I realised that she'd never apologised for anything that I thought she should've done. And she'd still go on about how her mum could never see when she was wrong and also that she'd never become like her.... I guess some people are just screwed up.

That sounds EXACTLY like him!!! He always wanted forgiveness but didn't give it as easy. He expected it immediatly but would punish me for my mistakes for however long he saw fit then would say ok I'm ready now. I don't get that, I really don't.

I hate it when people always think that they are right. It is always "your fault", yet you will apologise when you know your in the wrong, but when they are? Ahhhhhh. Somehow they turn it back onto you, as if it was your fault to start with... I wonder what it is like never to be wrong? yeah right.

I got accused of that left right and centre, when ever i wanted to express what was upsetting me, he'd make excuses, so i'd push a bit more, then it was "i'm angry and need anger management?" WT? Never wrong, never his fault, i call that very one sided and opinionated and rejecting the knowledge of his own faults, insecurities, easy to put the blame on someone else, take it away from yourself hey...

Irrespective that you "thought you pushed the boundries" you finally spoke... finally got it out, of your chest, which is highly important.

If he can't take the heat, he best stay out of your kitchen for good... i hope... lol..
