As for my words to you, they are indeed advice. I pointed out a flaw in your own logic so that you could understand that you weren't making a rational point. From that deduction, you could hopefully reevalute your opinion on the matter and come up with an opinion which could allow you to be happy. Since you said:

In every forum I've been to, double+ posting is against the rules, and here I have seen mods tell people not to do it.... Personally, I just find it more of an effort to read, a lot more scrolling to do for no purpose, but this is hardly the discussion at hand.

I know what you were pointing out and I get it. My thinking is rational and I quite like it. Now, would you be so kind as to NOT shed light on any of my problems from this point on?As for my words to you, they are indeed advice. Hey, the heart wants what it wants... even if sometimes the head is trying to overrule it.
You sound like a smitten kitten.
Forgiveness should be a big part of your philosophy too, no? That could get you over an obstacle or two. Hate the sin, not the sinner and all that. (Please note that I am not really religious, just studied in religion.)
Sounds like you're headed in the right direction, just chillaxin' for now. Let it be.Comment

Thanks...I'm trying. It's just a little hard at the moment. ;-; I'm such a stone.Hey, the heart wants what it wants... even if sometimes the head is trying to overrule it.

Someone just told me, "Your place in the line of women that he's been with has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not you feel special. What's important or what should dictate that is how he treats you when he's with you."
...I think that's my answer to you CW.
I'm still trying to think like that and just let it go.Comment

Ravsoma,
Just to let you know, if you are a virgin or not, when you care for someone, and it is a mutual feeling...the first time with that person will be amazing. he will feel and be experiencing the same feelings as you. remember, as long as you BOTH care about one another your first time together intimately will be amazing. even if both of you are not virgins.
you say you want a guy that is a virgin, but think of this. what if the man of your dreams comes around, and he is perfect!! except that he is not a virgin because he believed he was in love once before, had sex, and she left him... that stuff happens ya know. I guess i'm trying to say keep your mind open, but dont settle for anything less that what you want!
take careComment

Rav - I am a mod here, and double posting is a ridiculous way to boost post count and makes a thread extremely hard to read so cut it out. I get that you're at a post count high enough that trying to "boost" it is ridiculous but the second reason still stands. It's netiquette.
And to both you and Anon, in case you haven't noticed, I've been deleting or editing your posts where you're attacking one another. Cut that out too.
EDIT: Also, if we recall from circa Christmas-time, any member is allowed to give any other member an "infraction" if they're breaking rules, ie, personal attacks. So if you see somebody attacking somebody else, don't bite back, just report it or give an infraction.Last edited by Little; 05-30-2008, 05:12 AM.
Nature gives us shapeless shapes,
Clouds and waves and flame,
But human expectation is that love remains the same,
And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.
Register|Contact Admin|Email Admin
Comment

I don't think anyone here told her exactly what she wanted to hear.
Anyhow ......
Back to the original problem/question. It looks as though you are really wanting a relationship with this guy, but I think you are worried that in the back of your mind you will always be thinking of his past.
As I stated in an earlier post, my guy has had what I consider as quite a list of past experiences. Do I think about it? Honestly in the beginning it did bother me, actually worried me to an extent. Now I just don't think about it.
It's just something you're going to have to decide on your own if you can overlook/forget it. Take your time and take it slow.
You've made the first step .... you said you were trying.
There is a method to my madness ........ I just haven't found it yet.Comment

Yah, they were easy...and i know he was too. And i personally do know those girls hes slept with and they do not have respect for themselves, so i don't have respect for them. If he wants to call them hoes then im not gunna defend them, because they know they are too.
And i know hes just as easy for sleeping with them too...and its disgusting that he would do that...but thats wut the forums about right? 'Getting over the past'
Im over it. and like i said i think HIS past made OUR relationship stronger.Comment
