    Men!

I have a friend (or so I thought) at work that I was hoping to go out with. He seemed like a really nice guy, and I could tell he was interested in me. Well, last week he blurted out this sexual remark that not only made me feel cheap and dirty, but like I got slapped in the face. Maybe I'm too old fashioned but I thought that everyone should be treated with respect. Hurt and numb initially, I'm pretty steamed now!!! Just thinking about going back to work tomorrow makes me cringe, even though I do know what I'm going to say. But, what is it about men that makes them think they can do and say they things they do? :~(

Well, why don't you tell us what he said, etc etc...

It's difficult to know how to respond to your post.

Men have different attitudes, it doesn't necessarily mean that they don't respect you.

But, their attitude will be, straight to the point, treat this one with kitten gloves...

And, some think before the speak, others speak before they think...

So, you are a romantic, you would like him to say, you have great eyes, but he says, you have a great , or i dreamt about being inside you, to i want to f you...

Sexual words can be exciting, if you feel you know the person enough, but if you feel they don't know you, you can take it the wrong way.

Flirting is flirting, in which ever means it takes place.

He obviously chose to be "bold" and straight forward with what ever he said and you like lady like responses but sexually you probably wouldn't be that way as your comfortability opened...

Perhaps he views you as a sexy lady, whom he feels he knows and can be "bold"...

Hope you didn't crusify him too much...

It's easier to laugh at someone whom speaks like that and state " mmm, but will you ever know?", type of replies, still shows your a lady but also that you have the power to be sexual...

Without knowing what he said, it is difficult to know. But, sometimes all the gears in men's heads get jammed when they are in the presence of an attractive woman that they are interested in - wind up saying all sorts of things. I don't now if the same is true for women - and it is very difficult to describe unless it has happened to you. Its sort of like watching your hand close the car door with the keys still inside - one part of your brain knows the other is making a big mistake, but just can't react quickly enough to stop it.

Of course he could just be a jerk.

I think definately that men don't think....Mine still doesn't....I am constantly waiting to defend him but that is why I adore him...It is the boy in the man that turns me on and has since the day I met him..

I recall our first date...I had to use the restroom and told him I would be back...We were at a dance or a bar where they had dancing...The norm at that time in life...American Graffiti time... As I walked away he told me "don't go away and leave it running"....I was insulted...I had never been talked to like that but I smiled and went...So the next week when we were at the same dance joint, which was a cool place, when he had to use the restroom and he said "I have to go and drain the brine off my pickle" I laughed...What else could I do...I was in love with my sailor and everything about him....I now have him housebroken but what's a girl gonna do when she is head over heels in love with a man....

I guess if I was you, I just may consider that he is comfortable with you...Maybe not an insult but just plain relaxing...Different world out there now...But I sure would never turn back time and change with the heat I have had with my sailor.... Take care, Caroline

I'm dying to know what it was that he said. Haha

But like Caroline said, it could just be that he was comfortable enough around you to make a joke but not smart enough to know that it was inappropriate.
