Married Mom---You are an awesome asset to this community!! I LOVE postive attitudes, and there's nobody more important than the significant other in yor life. If you aren't best friends w/ your significant other, than who will yu be best friends with?? I'm an extremely firm believer in being best friends with your significant other, because no one else will care for you or him, the way that he would, and although friends are good to have, many times they can get 'in the way of things' and be detrimental to what you have because they would be more inclined to look at just 'my' situation, rather than 'our' situation.

Your best friend in life HAS TO BE your significant other--Well Done MarriedMom!!!!!

        Awww...

I totally agree with Dolphins! The best relationship is one where you are totally comfortable, open, trusting, and supportive of each other. That's what makes you best friends. When it comes down to it, other friends will come and go. You may even have those lifer friends who are there for you forever. But when you have hard times and it's just you and him laying in bed at night... who will you want to turn to? When you are both 80 and your health is failing... who will be there by your side? Your husband!! You should both cherish each other until the end.

Having said all that, I have been with my fiance David for 10 years now. Can you believe that?? We met in high school back in 1996 when I was 17. We had a really rocky start, but because we are both so open to communication and love... here we are still together and better then ever. I would have to say the one thing that stands out the most... is the way he stares at me all the time with complete content and this dreamy look like he is so happy. When I catch him doing it, he just says... "I just love you sooo much." I dated a lot of guys that lied and cheated so I never trusted anyone. I didn't trust David for a loooong time. Not because of anything he did, but because I was mentally scarred from the others. I never thought I would look at a man and feel so much trust as I do with him. It's amazing and for that I am so greatful!

I'm not going to say being married is for everyone, but I'm glad I did it. I have someone who loves me, believes in me & puts me above anyone else. I'm lucky to have found him, he's one of a kind. He puts up w/all my faults & excepts me for who I am & who I'm not.

I have the most wonderful husband in the world. We have been married for 9years and I love him more today than I ever have. Its almost like I did not exist before him and my life began the day we met. He completes me and Is my very best friend. Only a special man can accept a child that is not his and become the only father he knows. This is my husband. I hope to spend every last waking moment of my life in his arms.

Where do I start.I met my husband at 15 and we married when I was 16.We have 3 wonderful children together. He has done so much for me.The most recent sweetest thing he has done for me is this.He had bought me an expensive digital camera. It was $190 on sale.I was so suprised.Well I hadn't used it and we had an unexpected bill so I secretly took it back.I told him where the money was.Well my mom was visiting and we were busy donig something.I went looking for my husband and he was gone.A little later he pulled in and up he walked with a bag in his hand.He said to me-"See what you get. When you take back something I get you you'll just get something better".He bought me one that was $240 on sale!He asked me to never again take back something he wants me to have.We will be married 8 years this Friday August 25th.He is so wonderful and I love him so much.He loves me staying home with the kids and never makes me feel useless. And there isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't make me feel sexy and special.I could go on and on but you get the idea.I am so lucky to have such a hard working and loving husband.

My husband used to be amazing

He was my best friend & he was amazing & treated me like a princess, and told me I was his soul mate and that would never hurt me and he loved me so much he could never even imagine ever being with any one else he's say why when he has the best & most beautiful wife in the whole world. Then I found out he cheated on me while I was pregnant with our first child, now things are very different. He's went from Mr. Perfect Husband, to I'm not sure what to call him. Our sex life is still good, but that's about it.
