It could be because he's waiting or wishing for something better.

And it isn't always "balls" that will make a man say what he thinks. In the past I've acted in certain ways so a woman will break it off with me.

Too many times the guy ends up the "bad guy" and has his name dragged through the mud because he had the "balls" to tell a woman she wasn't the one.

If a guy has the "balls" to tell a woman she's not the one, he should have the "balls" to end the relationship. Men shouldn't spend years leading a woman on if they are waiting for something better.

Maybe if she's being led on, she should have the "balls" to leave herself. Women shouldn't spend years with a guy that is leading them on if they know that he isn't treating her well.

I see that some people think marriage is just a show. I think a lot of guys are "against marriage" for that reason. On the other hand, I think a lot of guys don't want to get married because they don't want to make the commitment. Two facets of one issue. The second one is what I would be afraid of.

I agree you should talk to him, but 6 years seems like a long time to date somebody and then not have him be interested in anything further lol. Especially if you already have kids with the guy. I think some men are afraid to get married but jeesh after dating for so long is marriage really going to be any different?
Before I was proposed to I had hinted around and my guy didn't seem to be very interested, but last Valentine's Day he surprised me with a proposal and I didn't even see it coming! LOL
But talk to him, see what's going on, and I also agree that you making plans like that might have set him off a little bit.
