Who is being unreasonable?
Ok so Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I'm very picky about the costume I wear. Often I will have multiple costumes per year if we (my husband and I) have multiple parties/events to attend. So this year I found the costume I want. It's a Harley Quinn (jokers wouldbe gf) costume. I found it on a specialty site that hand sews it to your measurements and its made of pvc vinyl. The costume is $220.00. Plus I would need to do rush sewing cause of the date **extra $35, plus rush shipping. Am I unreasonable that this is the only costume I want this year? I can understand my husbands point of view that its alot of money but I want it, and it's not short so I won't freeze(he worries I will sweat to death in the vinyl).

It all depends on you, I think your husband is just concerned about you spending that much money at once. On something that you'll only wear for a night and possibly break out again a year later. I bought a Batgirl costume last year for $70 and thought THAT was a crazy amount. And I got sick so I didn't even get to wear it hahaha. If you want it that bad though, go for it.
I do LOVE that costume though. I might even consider it for next year

That's one heck of a costume
love it.
PVC - is a non-breathing material.. If there are loads of people around and it's crowded and the weather is warm, you'll pass out, your body will heat up, and you'll sweat underneath it.
He makes a very valid point... So consider where you are going and what the weather is like..
You say, it's not short so you won't freeze, well if it's cold weather, then you may be okay, but try wrapping your body in glad wrap for 2yrs, haha, seriously and walk around your house and see how you feel.

$200 is a lot for some people, not important at all for others. How much do the 2 of you spend doing something fun for a day? If a dinner at the local diner is a rare treat, then $200 is too much for a costume. If you sometimes fly your private jet to Las Vegas for dinner, then $200 is nothing. It all depends. I think people should be able to get what they want - as long as it isn't a strain on their finances.Comment
