I second always hopeful. Sometimes a little doubt or thought can come in and just run away with us till it feels like the world is ending. The key is to be aware of what your needs are and express them to those concerned. Over practice you'll find that some needs you didn't actually need and others will displace those that you didn't realize you had. Emotional needs are kind of like foods or other needs. Try a few on good advice and watch what happens for you. Read some good books like The Four Agreements, The five love languages, and his needs her needs. You might be very surprised how much easier relationships can be with a little more awareness and respect and a lot less drama from taking things personally and operating on assumptions. I love you and wish you the best with your coming little one!
