Love is a strange word... we all love... we love our pets, family, friends, boyfriends, husbands, but ultimately the only ones we fall out of love with (eventually) is those whom do us wrong. That will never be our pets, family, maybe a friend, can be a boyfriend and husband... So, that was never un-conditional love then was it.. .It was just love you gave, and didn't get back... but will find again.

That point is spot on. It's also one of the hardest lessons to learn - you don't always get out of relationships what you put into them. It's so sad.... but sometimes it's a reality, and it's finding your inner strenght to give love out again.... as hard as the road to getting to that point may be.

You'll get there.... I agree with CW, you seem very smart - just remember that there are people on this forum that are in your corner. Let him go... He's certainly not worth the brain or heart space.
