so my fiance works on the oil rigs and works a week on a week off. so this last week that he was home i was going through his pants pockets before i threw them in the wash and within a large wad of receipts i found a random receipt for some girl to have a month's tanning package. it was from a town that is at least over 100 miles from where he works and it wasnt made with our debit card so i dont really understand why it was in his pocket? i asked him and he was baffled i guess the girl was his friends girlfriend. i honestly dont think he's cheating on me but in all honesty what would you think? im just slightly suspicious.... so in all honesty if you were in my shoes what would you think? to me it just makes zero sense

Assuming that when working he is living on the rig and sharing quarters, is it possible that he emptied his pockets on to a beside dresser top and accidentially pick up a reciept belonging to a cabin mate when he put things back in his pockets?

What I understand when working they do not leave the rig?

The first thing that came to my mind? A present for a stripper, or some other sugar daddy situation... The first thing that came to WC's mind? Possibly picking up a reciept of a cabin mate. Do you see how one of us see's the worst case scenerio first, and the other gives the benefit of the doubt?

Depending on your relationship up to this point will determain if you jump to a conclusion that he's doing wrong or one that see's that there are so many weird reasons that it could have ended up there.. and that he doesn't deserve suspicion over something that may not even be anything he did wrong.

I know that me personally I have to work on seeing the best case scenerios first, I have a tendency when there is a couple of options... to focus on the one that would hurt me the most.. and its probably not a good thing.

ok it was made with her card so he didnt pay for it thats why im not thinkin a whole lot of it. but like you said why would he have that reciept?? thats where i get lost. yes they live together but they dont live AT the rig. they live in town. the possibility of him pickin up a friends receipt is possible but i dont really understand why it would be because he doesnt share a room with anyone but i suppose thats a possibility. he did say that "mike" was with him in his car since most guys dont drive around while they're there. so he might've set it down in the car and my man picked it up??? but i dont understand the purchase was made with her card. so why would her bf have it? this just makes no sense to me lol. they work 12 hours a day so they dont really have time to do a whole lot but they do go to the bar and things from time to time. he calls me every night when he gets off work but as to what else he does i would have no idea. yes he's home on his days off and he doesnt try hiding things from me and i think if there was a reason to hide that receipt he would've but i just dont understand why he has it. it just makes no sense to me at all. i want to give him the BOTD because i dont really feel like he would feel compelled to cheat but you never know i guess ha. it just baffles me i guess i dont really understand the whole thing....

Unless there is some reason to be suspicious, I don't think I'd worry - strange things can happen. Some years back my wife found a set of condoms in my car trunk (we don't use them). Would normally be a huge red flag. Turns out we had just returned from a driving trip with a male friend and I presume they fell out of his luggage. My wife believed me - and it was true.

In your case, this really doesn't fit any reasonably sneaky behavior.

Alot of times I try to think on these things and then revisit them the next day to see if I still feel the same. And I do. You can give the benefit of the doubt, which is really your only option here, and would be what I'd do.......but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be a bit suspicious of it. That's just me being honest. Ideally what I'd tell you is "I wouldn't think anything of it because I trust him", but that's ideally...not what is realistic for me.

Yes, maybe somehow someone elses receipts got on his nightstand. Could've happened. Or maybe "mike" laid it down in his car and he picked it up and put it in his pocket. But if this Mike dude is his partner, wouldn't it be easy to find out if he has a girlfriend and what her name is? Like for instance, if when you asked him about it he said "hang on, let me call Mike real quick and see if that's his girlfriends", and called him right there on the spot.......I would not have been suspicious.

What also could've happened is he could've emptied his pockets on someone elses nightstand, and when he picked back up his things the next morning, picked up her receipt accidentally. NOT saying this is what happened... but I think when something "weird" happens, you have to consider all scenarios. Especially because when you really play back this situation it's just weird, I totally agree. : Mikes girlfriend bought a tanning package, paid for it and laid her receipt somewhere. Mike accidentally picked it up and had it in his pocket. Mike for whatever reason took it out of his pocket and left it in your boyfriends car. Your boyfriend picked it up and stuck it in his pocket.

Stranger things have happened I'm sure.......but I don't blame you for wondering.
