    Circumcision "styles"

Hi, I hope men are also welcome on this forum. I have a question that should be primarily answered by women, related to circumcision.

A couple of years ago I had a surgical reduction of my foreskin, which was fine. However, now I'll probably go for a full circumcision. Me and my fiance has talked to some doctors who mention that there are several circumcision "styles" pertaining to the tightness and how high or low the incision is done. As far as I understand, this mostly affects the aesthetic results of the procedure, and I do wish a procedure that produces a visually appealing result (having my fiance in mind).

So, my question is targeted at those with a circumcised husband/boyfriend or those who knows someone being circumcised:

Do you think circumcision style matters at all?

Is there a style that you find more appealing than others?

    Thanks for your answers!

No preference here. Heck... Until reading this, I had no clue there were circumcision styles at all, you either were or weren't. I've seen my far share of penises and of the circumcised ones, I wasn't worried about "inspecting" them to notice any differences in circumcisions.

Bottom line... Do what is comfortable to you. Maybe go through this with your fiance? I mean, not having a penis myself, I couldn't tell you what the difference in tightness or incision locations would be.

Maybe some guys could chime in here?

BTW... Yes, men are welcome here. We have many male regulars.

How can you tell if a man is circumcised or not? I have no idea if my husband has been circumcised and I don't feel comfortable about asking him just to satisfy my curiosity. I've look at images on the net but he can look like both depending...

My husband had some sort of issue with his foreskin at birth that precluded circumcision. Essentially, it left him with "half a foreskin." I like it. Obviously, or else he wouldn't be my husband, right? But really, it's neat that he could be somewhere in the middle. Best of both worlds.

Chaya - You may want to create a separate thread so we don't take away from the OP's original post.

I don't know if anyone here is a fan of Jay Leno's "Headlines" segment, but this reminds me so much of one he did a while back where someone sent in a pamphlet that said "It's summertime! Bring the family down to our circumcision clinic! Painless - bloodless - German cut!"

Thus far all of the circumcised penises I've seen have looked pretty much the same, but maybe there's a German cut out there waiting to be discovered . . . might it be possible though that circumcisions taking place in different areas of the world might look a little different because of techniques specific to a particular region? Dunno how different it could possibly be, per se, but who knows?
