I agree with the posters that say it is NOT the time for an open relationship when your sexual relationship together is on the rocks. Couples that have successful open relationships generally relay that they have a very strong intimate connection with their partner and the other people they are with are additions not replacements for their sex life together.
If you want to be open to a relationship where you both have sex with other people, get her on the same page that things with the two of you need to improve first, heck, if they do... maybe the outside people won't be so much of a focus.
You talk about not wanting to lose her and doing everything in your power, including detaching yourself emotionally from her to deal with this, to keep her happy whether or not it hurts. What you don't realize is that by detaching yourself emotionally, by losing those feelings in order to keep her... you'd be losing your relationship in a very different way.
Most women lose respect for men that will sacrafice their own pride or dignity to cater to their every whim. You don't have to be mister hard butt, but you don't have to be a Yes man either. If you geniuinly don't want to do something. Don't do it. Don't compromise your emotional health, she shouldn't want you to do that either.
