When someone cancels your first date

Mine is a arranged marriage. When we were engaged, the first time we were supposed to go dating, my husband cancelled upon me, because he got a call from a radio channel to attend a show as a lucky winner of some raffel. I found it a little insulting, since he chose the Radio show over me and also since it was the very first date of ours. When I told him these feelings of mine he never got me and laughed it away. What is your opinion on this, would you have felt the same?

I suppose that could be considered rude, although I can see why he did it. Sometimes extenuation circumstances happen. If I was supposed to go on a first date, and my date called me prior to tell me he had won some raffle so he needed to reschedule, I would probably be peeved too. But I might also be inclined to get over it quickly if I liked him and knew/thought there could be a future with us.

Question is - does it matter any more at this stage of the game? You said this happened when you were engaged, I assume you're now married. You've obviously met and married since that first date was cancelled, so I'm not sure what the point in dwelling on that is.

The thing is, we have been in a row lately. And that is why I keep going back to the past to see how many times he has really ****ed me off and has not been sorry about it. I had never got an outside opnion on many things and thought I have to settle them first if I want to move forward.
