That sweet misskitty.
Valentine's Day bothers me. People feel all this pressure to do something big or buy something. And people feel pressure to receive something as well. There is so much anxiety around it. I prefer that someone just do random nice things throughout the year, not just on the day that they are reminded to.
But my mom did send me a very nice card....with $20 in it. Haha. Like she does every year.

My boyfriend sent me a lovely Vermont teddy bear with a bowtie that says "te amo." It's absolutely precious and came with chocolate to boot! I miss him, but it's only 3 more weeks now until I get to see him.
Nature gives us shapeless shapes,
Clouds and waves and flame,
But human expectation is that love remains the same,
And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.
Register|Contact Admin|Email Admin
Comment

See, this is exactly why I don't like this holiday. I'm sure it would have meant a ton more to the both of you if you had given her flowers on your own accord-because you love her. Not out of fear of being dumped.I sold my soul to the marketing compaines, and bought my girl a dozen roses, only so that I'd be conforming with money making propaganda - the marketing companies are so clever they they get our partners to dump us if we don't buy their products! *******s!
Oh, I made a nice dinner too.Comment

I'm not real big on holidays. They've just seemed to loose the real reason behind them. To me they've just become nothing more than something for businesses to market and make money off of.
We did have a nice dinner out though. There is a method to my madness ........ I just haven't found it yet.Comment
