engagement ring
So i have been engaged for a year now, we both wanted to have a long engagement....my ring slipped off in the shower and went down the drain..i really dont no how it happened because it was never really loose and ive had it for a year now..I feel absolutely terrible that it happened, and i told my fiance and he was furious (he has every right to be) but he feels like i threw our love away....ive tried to tell him it was an accident but hes really upst about it...does anyone have any suggestions as to what i should do or say to him -
I don't know what you should say, because his reaction sounds a bit like an over-reaction. Maybe he feels you don't really want to marry him?
If it was insured, call the insurance company and have it replaced. It happens all the time. My best friend threw her ring in the garbage with a bunch of tissues by her bed (she had a cold) - he forgave her. I chipped my diamond badly cleaning the bathroom (porcelain can crack diamond) and needed to replace it... it doesn't mean I did it on purpose, and I was furious enough for both my hubby and I.
Does he feel you're irresponsible? I can't really get a gauge. -
Your ring is probably made of gold right. It's heavy so chances are it's caught in the drain. You should have a plumber come and check your drain out for you. This happen to my sister with a tiny ring she had and it was caught in the trap in the drain. Don't give up!! I know he will be thrilled if it's found and if it's not hopefully he will come around. Good luck!Comment
