    Building trust

I was just curious, does anyone have any tips for building trust? I trust my fiancee completely, no questions asked, but I don't think that he really feels the same way. I haven't always been 100% truthful, but it was just a couple small things, (not excusing them) and one thing that I hadn't been ready to talk to him about. Well, I've told him everything. It makes me kind of sad, because I feel like he thinks I'll cheat on him now, but there is no way I would ever do that to him. I want him to feel secure in being with me. He says he wants to marry me, but I don't see why if he doesn't trust me, you know? I dunno what do you guys think?

Trust ... humm ... I'm sure that there are others here that could answer a lot better than me but I'll post my thoughts anyway.

How to build it? Well .... I think it's something that you just automatically have from the get go in a relationship. You have that trust until something happens to break it.

How to re-build it once it's gone .... I think it just takes time for the one that's lost it and it will take total honesty from the one that has broken the trust.

Is it smart to start a relationship out that has a lack of it from the beginning ... I don't think so.
There is a method to my madness ........ I just haven't found it yet.

      I agree with Fallen1.

See you held back, then told him and now he is wondering?

Love is love, trust is trust. Communication is Communication.

Perhaps tell him that you were self conscious and as a result you did eventually tell him and now you are in sinc so you would never hold anything from him again.

I think trust takes time and several proofs along the way.

My ex once threatened to reveal a secret about me when she was angry, and on top of that she'd cheated on several boyfriends before... I wouldn't say that I mistrusted her, and she was always reassuring me that nothing like that would happen with me, but to be honest that one time she threatened to say something really made me lose my trust in her. Honestly, I don't know what she could do to get it back.

Sorry, yeah my ex did the same, always through things in my face, and stated that my family would stand up for him not me? Ummm... okay?

As for cheating, if you are with someone you are in sinct with i think you can overcome that so you obviously felt the same. SOmetimes it is whom you are with....

The constant threats over my business, ( losing it) , my parents liking him more? my past because he didn't really have one, 1 was engaged twice before him, etc, well i understand, how the hell do you trust your partner when threats are going on?

You cant.... It's just not possible...

            It's almost "who am i with" ?

That's not meant to be happening?
