Hey all. We love the love-holiday at our place. But I have friends who aren’t so lucky.

What’s a good way to handle it when your partner doesn’t care about silly gifting days but you do? Or vice versa? A handmade card, a favorite candy bar, or…do people still make mix tapes?

Why are some folks so curmudgeonly about this day anyway? Even when I was single I didn’t hate it.

It's a $$ grab "holiday"..... everywhere.

Is there a holiday that’s not a money grab tho? Apart from the somber ones (sometimes—I’ve def taken advantage of Veterans Day sales) every holiday has either a gift-giving or lavish-food-preparing component.

Totally get it—some people just don’t vibe with gift holidays. If that’s the case, keep it simple: a handmade card or baking their favorite treat can say more than a big gift. Thoughtful > expensive. And yes, mix tapes still count (hello Spotify)!
