Leaving a pregnant wife is unacceptable.
Ladies, some of us become rather difficult when we are pregnant, but our men
stick by us. They cut down on work once we reach the fifth month. Make sure
we are alright. This husband increases his job load.

    Chandlers Wish
I truly dislike men leaving their pregnant wives irrespective of the reason and especially that far along, it's not a time to be on your own.
I don't disagree at all with that.

To the threader, if he hasn't returned, please ensure that you are surrounded by family / friends at this time, don't go it alone.

Well we can only speculate. Only he has the answer.
I would say that since he did leave, he had somewhere to go and had maybe been fed up and the confrontation was the perfect opportunity for him.
Call him and ask him where he is? I think that he should let his wife know where he is staying, mostly since your pregnant.
Chances are he is either freaking out about the his "plate" or he is seeing someone else. But chances are he's not. You guys need to talk. He owes you more of an explanation.
      Good luck.

well i think you should cut the poor guy some slack, he is working two jobs to prepare for the baby and you hassel him about 2 beers, he has probably gone to stay with his best mate or parents, have you been riding him hard about things, it sounds to me like he is trying to adjust to things the best way he knows how, and feels you could do with a break - dont worry, just try and sort things out.

"I was ****ed and called him on it" - If it was 2 beers you owe him a BIG apology - 1) for presuming he was lying
          2) for thinking you can give permission or not for him to have 2 beers
          3) for being so angry at such a minor indiscretion of a man working 2 jobs for you and the baby.

Is there any way you can find out for sure before you apologise.

I don't know, taking luggage could be a part of the tantrum. Part of a scare tactic. Leave me alone or I'll leave you. What man behaves this way with his pregnant S.O? He may have not "lied" persay, but he didn't divulge the whole truth and lets be honest stopping at a bar is a whole lot different than he didn't tell her he hit a mcdonalds on the way home.

We all know emotions run high during pregnancy... nesting sets in, the need for stability. Even if she's thrown tantrums in the past he should have stroked her hair, told her loved her, told her he didn't tell her about the bar because he didn't want to get her mad -- which is probably the truth.

Packing up and going instead of fixing the problem... he's a runner and has probably been contimplating doing so before this fight.

Either that or he's an emotional abuser.. and is just using a scare tactic so that she wont ever question him in the future. Hmmm I better not ask him where he was or he will pack up and go!

            What a jerk.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.

I know that with me ex, when he was cought doing something wrong, he always came down on me, acted like I did something wrong, and tried to punish me for it. Mabye he is one of those.
