    Rhythm Method

I just recently started keeping track of my periods using this free software I found that is supposed to determine safe and unsafe days for sex, I was just wondering if anyone practices this method, does anyone think its worthy of any trust?

it is a good way if nothing else works but it is still not an effective birth control method. even with perfect use there is still a chance of pregnancy. but a lot of people use it as a last resort or if religion dictates.
my bf and i use it because at this point in our relationship, it wouldn't matter to us if we got pregnant. i mean, we arn't actively trying but neither would we freak out if there was a baby.
discuss the pros and cons with your significant other and then make an informed decision.

Thanks Redhead, I can see it working best for someone in your situation, where your not actively trying to get pregnant but it wouldnt be devistating if you did. We on the other hand would not be okay with a pregnancy, its just not what either of us would want in any way shape or form right now. We use condoms most of the time, and will continue on that path unless I get on some form of birth control. I just have not found any that the side effects or possible side effects don't totally freak me out.

Pregnancy would freak me out a million times more than some of the side effects so I know I need to just choose a birth control and get on it. Right now condoms really seem to be the most fair thing hehe. I mean I would rather we not have to use them. Why oh why hasn't medicine advanced enough to give us a decent birth control option, one that wont cause cramps and heavy periods like the IUD, or possible weight gain and mood swings like the depo shots, or risks of strokes etc for smokers in the pill.

Can't they just come up with something more natural and healthy

I have very little faith in the rhythm method. I know a couple who has gotten pregnant on it twice. If you are not ready to have a baby, please use a condom each and every time. I agree, BC sucks. I refuse to take anything anymore because I could never find one that didn't make me feel awful. The last relationship I was in, we used condoms and eventually, if you use them every time, you honestly can't tell the difference. It's what you get used to.

        Please be careful.
