Merina was the worst decisson I ever made
I had the Merina put in November of 07 and it was removed Feb. 08. I had friends that had the Merina and had no problems. Well I had a totally different experience. When it was put in at the doctors office I had an excruciating pain that went from the top of my hip and traveled all the way down to my knee. This pain came and went all the time. Some days it would be so bad that I would have to leave work. I took IB profen like the doctor instructed, with no relief. I would go through a bottle a week. It also stopped my period. Which after bleeding for 4 weeks straight was a big relief. Well not having a cycle was good. The out come of no bleeding was a fishy odor that was so bad. me and my husband stopped having any kind of sexual relationship because I was so selfconscience. When I told the doctor all my problems such as the pain she pretty much told me that it was all in my head and as far as the smell they said it was normal. It was just my bodies way of cleaning itself. Well I wasn't going for it these problems didn't start until the day the Merina was placed. When I went to get it taken out I was treated for an infection which was caused by the Merina. I have had no pains in my leg ever since. I would strongly discouraged anyone from getting the Merina our bodies are not meant to hold foreign objects such as that. That's why your uterus rejects it. That's pretty much what happened to me my body was going to get this thing out one way or another
