    Lots of Confusion; please help.

Hi everyone, I'm having some issues going on lately and am trying to get a handle on what's going on. Didn't know if this topic should be in this or the menstrual cycle forum; sorry.

I was on Accutane since last May, which is when I was 1st put on the pill. I also was put on it as I've had VERY irregular periods since I first started getting them (currently am almost 21). I'd sometimes not have my period for 3 months or so, and randomly would get symptoms as if I were going to get it that day, but wouldn't for months; also extremely bad headaches and backaches.

Regardless, I was put on the pill & everything smoothed out. I've been off Accutane regularly for about 2-3 months now. I stayed on the pill until my prescription ran out; I had no pills for I *think* about a month. I got it renewed recently, & figured I'd wait to have my period before starting taking them again.

However, before all of this, right before my last period, I took my remaining Accutane pills for a few days as I was having a bad breakout. That was my last period; & it was messed up. I think it's because my dosage of Accutane that I took was so high (mistake on my part). My flow wasn't regular for me & towards the end of it when I usually am spotting there was nothing. It was during those few last days that I had unprotected sex, did the pull out method but I know that is far from bullet proof.

After about two weeks since getting my BC renewed, I decided to start taking it a week ago, disregarding that I haven't had my period yet. I don't know if it matters but I've been taking a pill for everyday I don't have my period. I did this because I thought maybe my body went back to that very irregular point, & needed the pill to be regular; thus why I haven't had my period. I don't know if this is true but I figured it was worth trying....

I'm sorry this is all so jumbled. Basically I'm wondering:
    Could I be pregnant?
Can your body be thrown off schedule from not being on BC for a month or so?
Does my body need to get used to the pill again?

In addition to all of this, I have been feeling pains in my lower stomach area, like I used to before I was on the pill. This has been going on for about a week I'd guess, but I do not know if this is actually my period coming on or what? I'm on the same BC as I was, and I had no side-effects or anything like that with it. I just feel achey, tired, & think I'm possibly bloated. I read up about very early pregnancy signs and I don't have what I've read to be common; breast soreness, spotting, things like that; I don't have this.

I'm sorry this post is so long, I'm just so extremely paranoid and wondering what's going on. I don't know what to blame or anything. I feel like possibly everything that's going on has to do with me being off the pill & now getting back on, yet I wonder if pregnancy is a possibly because of that incident.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Well we all know the pull out method is not safe, so did you, don't take risks sweet.

When you go on the pill it takes time for your body to adjust, simularily when you don't take it, it gets confused as it was in a routine, and now i think your body is confused.

How about wait for your period, (use a condom) until then, have your period, continue with your tablets and enjoy sex without if your guy and you are exclusive and you know that in your heart.

Don't tempt fate, unfortunately now you have to wait and see, but more than likely it's just your body being confused at present, but, DON'T TEMPT FATE you already did sweet.

Thanks for your reply. I definitely will NEVER take that risk again. For someone with anxiety, this is absolutely nerve wracking, which probably isn't helping my period regulate and whatnot.

      Hoping you are right, however.

      Thanks again, appreciate it
