    Embarrassing situation - Brown discharge

I feel terrible lol this is my story....im going to spare some details for the sake of not wanting to kick myself

My doc told me i can skip my periods with the pill so i do from time to time...so i decided to skip it a few days ago but my body didnt agree with me and i experienced heavy brown discharge (which i normally get after my period) so anyways i was at my boyfriends house last night and i though it had eased away seen as it had been 24 hours. I mean how much could there be right??

I was so wrong...how do you explain to a guy what it is? i wanted to tell him when he asked if i was ok (thought it was blood) but it would have turned him off.. im sure about that.

To any men (ladies too) what do you do in a situation like that....do i just not bring it up or do i bring it up for piece of mind?

Just tell him you just finished your period and its just a tint of the normal vaginal discharge you get from the menstrastion.
.:. if nothing changed, we wouldn't have butterflies.:.

Why are you playing with fate?

I don't get why you chose to miss a period and then go through this?

Generally you go through way period pain too, by spotting brown...

I took a combined pill for about 5 years (on and off over the span of 8) and I only tried to use it to stop my period twice. The first time it was a slightly lighter period, the second time there was no discernible difference whatsoever. I gave up trying after that.

Other women I know have said it only works for them if they take 3 packets in a row with no break, and even then it's not reliable and there's always a little something. So you have to know 6 to 8 weeks in advance that you want to stop your period and then be prepared for it not to work anyway.

That was all over 10 years ago - maybe things are better now, if not then I don't see the point.

As for explaining it to a bf - there are 2 types of hetro men with regards to this, in my experience. Type one sticks his fingers in his ears and sings when you try to talk about periods at all and probably doesn't want to have sex when you're on either - though he will, of course, accept oral. Type 2 is practical and caring and if it does skeeve him out at all he hides it very well. You sound like you have the second type, x. Just explain what happened - 'honey, I wanted to skip my period and this is the result. It may not look nice but it's normal and healthy and thank you for being concerned about having hurt me, you really haven't, but thanks for caring. You're a sweetheart - make us a cup of tea, would you?' and give him playful pop on the butt as he gets up.

If you don't act like it is a big deal then he'll be far more comfortable with it.
