Is it the pill doing this to me?

I started on loette which didn't agree with me so switched to brevinor. While some symptoms I suffered with loette have eased, one in particular that seems to have stayed is a constant rumbling in my stomach, excess gas, lack of appetite - I eat maybe the equivalent of two light snacks per day - yet I feel bloated and according to my scales have gained about 2 - 3 kilos (very unlike me). Also, having churning in my stomach and bouts of nausea that seem to be worse in the evenings. I thought perhaps I was pregnant but so far have had three negative tests. If I am pregnant I would only be about 4 weeks along so I will test again in the upcoming weeks just to be certain.

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced similar abdominal discomfort while on the pill or if I should start looking at other possibilities. Unfortunately my doctor never seems to take any complaint I have seriously so I can't even get any tests done.

I'm not sure if this is caused by the particular pill you are on...i suggest either searching for side affects on the net or have a look inside your pill pack for the information booklet it might have a list of known side affects...

Yeah, I did that a while ago. One thing that concerns me is the fact that I started on the pill at the end of April, but I didn't start having problems until the second to last week in May, which also happened to be approximately a week since unprotected sex, so I did start to think that perhaps pregnancy was a possibility. I did have some very light bleeding accompanied by severe cramps at the same time all the problems started, and another brown discharge that occurred a couple of weeks after that. I've heard of quite a few women who don't show positive test results for weeks and I'm afraid I might be one of them.

Has anyone experienced a delay between when they started the pill and when they started having side effects?

I did experience a delay when i changed pills...im on yaz now. For the first month it was good then i started experiencing some side effects that are common with yaz then they stoped suddenly and came back when i had my period and stopped again....so it was a bit strange. Just to be certain maybe take another test and if you're still concerned visit your doctor...even if he doesnt take what you say seriously he still has a job to do.

I started on the pill last week, and my gp said I could get pregnancy like symptoms, so yes it could be the pill doing this, but get it checked out anyway
