    It is Yaz?

So I have come here for advice and perhaps peace of mind.

I am 27 and have been on Yaz for 2 years now. The first few months there was spotting and breakthrough bleeding. After that it was fine for over a year, shorter lighter periods. The only side effect I had was possible moodiness...like crying over the dumbest things and such. I hadn't blamed Yaz for that until recently after talking to friends about it.

After thinking about it more and reading articles/forums online then, I started thinking about other symptoms that could have been from yaz that my doctor said was not from Yaz: weight gain (15lbs in a year), night sweats, lack of sex drive. I am at the point where I wonder if it caused by Yaz. I had blood work done recently to test for a possible thyroid condition, nothing found...

Also, the last two months my periods have been longer than usual. This month it came, left, and now it's back!

I am confused and wonder what effect Yaz is truly having on my body. My husband and I want to begin trying to have a baby next year...but I am ready to get off this pill now if it is causing all the symptoms above!

Any words of advice or other's experiences would be appreciated!

    Thanks

I was on Yaz for alittle over a year before I started noticing problems...I gained alot of weight, had loss of sex drive and faced vaginal dryness...my periods were coming at different times and not during the placebo pills..Periods are supposed to be regular on pills thats one of the reasons I went on it...But Now i am not on anything because I do not think it is good for my body..

When i researched it and asked around with friends when i wanted to try it out i heard all that you listed above was caused by Yaz. If you have any kind of mental health it only makes it worse and if you dont you will act like you do. Its awful. All my friends recommend me not too and they got off of it. My doctor tried to push me into it even when i showed him what i found he denied it. Don't believe them..if you find alot of people tell you alot of bad I would say get off it.
