      good thing I read this

I've been researching Adiana vs Essure and didn't realize Adiana pregnancy rate is so high. I'm glad I read this first.

Essure is not as great as they claim. Picabo Street who was paid to promote essure & had the procedure done is pregnant. Conceptus is trying to say she got pregnant before her 3 month HSG confirmation test. You can be sure that she had some of the best drs perform her procedure so I doubt it was dr error. Essure is getting away with this by claiming that many of the pregnancys that have occured happened due to failure of patient to have follow up test. If they had the follow up test then they try to claim that the dr or the radiologist misread the confirmation test & if that fails they claim that nothing is 100%.

I personally think that unless some great improvements are made that both the procedures will eventually prove to have too many risks.

Had adiana done on November 3, 2010. My doc was part of the FDA trials. He did not have any complications or pregnancies. When we were discussing my options I asked him about the failure rates and such. He went through and explained some of the things which led to failures. Doc put two on same side. Pregnant during the 3 month period. I chose adiana because I have had some fibroid issues and he doesn't want anything left in the uterus like the essure does in case I need future procedures done. I go for check up in Feb. very curious if it will work.

So far just some mild cramping.

Hi all I'm (as u can see) new to this site and wated to add a few things to some great thread here. First off if you look at Adiana and Essure's websites: Essure has a 99.9% and Adiana is 98.9% it was kind of hard for me to find on Adiana's site but finally did. Nothing is 100% so can't sue anyone for getting pregnant but it's suppose to be as effective as getting tubes tied??? How many women you hear about getting pregnant with getting tubes tied and how many with essure and Adiana? More Adiana than Essure but adiana I'm sure sounds better for you than essure. Research anything before making it a final choice. My story is my sis in law was given Essure (so we thought) read the pamplets on it and all, ok well decided to do it. Some discomfort was some major pains n bleeding after went to doc she says everything is fine. then we went back for 3 month check up so far so good everything is as it should be. Well here we go 8 months after having it done period is late and WHOA she's pregnant 2 months along. So I started doing research and wrote to Essure n all n said they need to change some things on their site. Sis went back for a check-up and then we find out she didn't have Essure she had Adiana!! So I think some info needs to be posted and women need this pregnancy rate needs to be made aware of!
