I know that depo makes you eventually lose your period but after only a month? Please someone tell me that it's possible for women on depo to not get their period the first month on it. I'm really scared but I can't possibly see a way that I can be pregnant! It has to be the medicine ... right?

please help!!! depo issue
Ok so a little over a month ago I got my first depo provera (sp?) shot. I had my period right before it and then it went away like the next day. So the month went by and everything is great I didn't have any crazy side affects or anything. I had sex with my boyfriend 2 times over the month (and they were my first two times ever having sex) but keep in mind that we used condoms both times AND both times he pulled out as well (we like being extra safe =P) there were times when we messed around without a condom but no more than a few seconds and no deeper than an inch. So the end of the month comes around and I'm expecting to get my period on monday ... and it didn't come. That's happened to me before so I was like "oh well it'll happen tomorrow" then it didnt. Now it's thursday and I still don't have it and I'm really starting to get worried. I've had headache and bloating but nothing else. No bleeding or even spotting. I can't be pregnant can I? Like I went way out of my way to be safe and I CANT be pregnant. I don't know what I would do!

yea you're probably not pregnant the depo shot jus stopped your period. it does that. it can also give you a period for months straight!! & it sucks I hate it. & It should be taken off the market! but that probably won't happen.anyways. if u still think u could be than simply take a home test or go to ur local planned parenthood or family planning place & have them give u a test most of them will do it for free. The depo will also more than likely give u all the symptoms of u being pregnant, I know it has me. Now My husband & I are trying to conceive & can't -
depo his very strong hormones in it and it should be expected that you dont get your period on schedule. dont be worried... it seems like you are overly careful about getting pregnant anyways.
so.....
if you are still worried ... take a good quality pregnancy test 2 WEEKS FROM THE DATE of intercourse
your fine
