I am looking for some advice. I've been on Yaz for almost a year. I have noticed that my sex drive has gone down a lot since I have been on it. My health care plan has changed since I've gotten married and can only afford a generic birth control. I have no idea what a good generic birth control would be. I don't want to go through a huge change from switching from Yaz either. I have been looking into Mononessa but have no idea if that is good. I am looking for a generic birth control that anyone recommends. Thanks so much for the advice!

Good Generic Birth Control?

yaz seems to be causing alot of people problems doesn't it!
There are generic forms of everything pretty much so ... whatever your doctor feels best.
A good ,normal, low dose pill that you could get the generic form of is seasonale
... with seasonale you can have 4 periods a year too!
Otherwise i recomend desogen because i was on it for 2 years with no side effects.
good luck !! -
hey... i had the same situation with birth control and having to go generic. my doctor prescribed trisprintec, which is a low dose birth control pill. i have not had any side effects at all like change in libido or weight gain or emotional issues, etc. i am very happy with it. i cant tell you which are good or bad, since i have not taken that many different brands. also, maybe your doctor has one in mind that would fit you and your lifestyle best.Comment
