I am out of resources and desperate.

I am new here and come needing help.

I have two problems and dont know where to turn so I hope this is not only the right forum, but the right site to seek this help.

First I think I might be pregnant, I took a test and it came out negative but I am still waiting for my period or any sign of the thing. Not sure where to go from here becasue I am in a terrible financial possition to go to a doctor or even a clinic for help and I cannot offor another test to be sure.

The second problem I am facing is, if I am not pregnant I am in desperate need of birth control. Again the money causes a problem, but the piggest problem here is taht many doctors have told me I should not be on horomonal birth control, that leaves me with the opption of a copper IUD. I am okay with that. But I need help finding a reliable place to get one for cheap. I talked to Planned Parenthood and they said that it would be about $600 for me to get one, I cannot offored that. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure where you are at but you should be able to go into a local state health office or planned parenthood and get a free pregnancy test. That will take care of your first issue.

If you are stressing over it, that can very well cause a delay in your cycle if you are not pregnant.

As far as birth control, to be honest, your cheapest bet for a non hormonal option is probably condoms.

I am in Colorado. The planned Parenthood hear charges $25 to get a test, or I would have done that. I hear stories about PPH in otehr states and they dont charge, so why does mine. *anger*

Pardon my idocy but what is a "state health office?"

and The condom thing is great, but my boyfriend is always freaked out over it, and this is not our first pregnancy scare, so he said he no longer wants to have sex untill I am on Birth Controle, IUD being my only option... *sigh* I am jsut ranting now sorry.

When I was on the pill, i lost all control of my emotions, anger mainly. One night my boyfriend and I were fighting and I blacked out, I dont remeber anything but throwing my phone and then I was sitting in teh middle of my floor crying, bruised and surrounded by ripped up pictures of my boyfriend. (I had a tendancy to punch myself when i was angry then) When i talked to my doctor he said NO MORE HOROMONES. IUD is teh only kind I have found that is non horomonal.

and I dont mind if you ask by the way ^.^

Here in Nevada they have state run health offices. From what I understand, they offer free or reduced costs health services i.e. exams, immunizations, pregnancy test/care, etc.

You may want to see if there is something familiar in Colorado, not sure though.

Call your county office, court, etc about a health office. They should be able to give you directions/locations/etc. Planned parenthood is supposed to base your costs off your income; if you can't afford it they probably aren't doing it right.
The state/county/city health office should do the same thing. Good luck It's awful to have to wait.
