Best drug free birth control?
Can anyone recommend some forms of birth control that are not drugs? Besides condoms? I have had bad experiences with the pill and injections. I am completely against any form of medication or hormone manipulation. I cannot stand condoms either because they make me dry and sore (no matter what lubrication I use). So I am looking for alternatives, but am not sure what would work best. Any suggestions? -

My husband and I are not going to abstain from sex. No way! Give me something realistic to work with here.Comment

No, I haven't seen a doctor yet. I don't have much faith in them. I feel like they will just do and say whatever the drug companies tell them to. I would rather hear from real women who have experience in the matter.Comment

IUD, Intra Uterine Devices, they are shaped like a t and prevent fertilization and obviously inserted vaginally by you doctor. They are about as effective as the pill, but they can cause scaring so if you want to have kids someday it might not be so easy.
The other choices would be like said above is a diaphram or your husband could get snipped.
Have you tried the nuva ring? I know you don't want to have articifal things in your body, but like you I tried other forms of birth control, but the ring is less harsh and easy, in for three weeks and out for one.Comment

Natural Family Planning?
Have you heard of Natural Family Planning? Its drug free and it is also free $$. I use the SMTP method and have been using it for five years now. I would strongly recomend attending a class that teaches the method before practicing.Comment

Natural Family Planning is a good idea
I know lots of people who use it, and very effectively. You have to be able to abstain during your fertile time though. If you don't think you can control yourselves for 4 or 5 days of every month, then maybe your husband should look at getting snipped.
