period is one day late and i m on the pill
hi i know i should have read most of the threads here before posting anything but i m so worried that i had to write something. my bf is abroad on work and i don t want him to get worried. we had unprotected sex a week ago. this week i was supposed to get my period yesterday usually at about 8pm. since i m on the pill it is usually the same time. however this time i didn t get it and i didn t have any symptoms either. i thought it maybe would come during the night but it didn t. now i m at work and everyone thinks i am sick coz i m so worried have black pillows under my eyes. i know i should take responisbity if i m pregnant but i m more afraid of how my parents would react to such an event. i just want to know is it normal to be on the pill and still menstrauting late, or not at all? do i restart the pill on the normal day i do if i do not get my period? i d like an answer asap coz i m getting freaked out please

Any type of stress could delay your period. Making up missed pills some time during the month could also delay it. I would start the pill at your normal time. It often takes a couple days for the hormones to fully get back in your system so your period may still start right at the end. My body doesnt' get enough hormones to stop my period until several days in to the next pack. I would also take a pregnancy test though. Preferably get the double pack and take one now and one in a week. If either come out positive stop the pill immediately and see your doctor.
