Hi I'm new to this site, but I wanted your advice on the ring, I have mirena but it seems it's kind of lost for the moment(lol) I have to have a D&C or go to a gyne that specializes in lost Iud's. I'm getting it taken out I've had way to much cramping and my period never went away, instead I get it longer, normally it was 7 days but it went to 10-11 days Why??!! I'm hormonal enough as it is!!Comment

I've been on the nuva ring for about a month now, i really enjoy not having to take a pill but i do find myself more tired lately. Maybe its due to stress working 40 hours a week having a part time job everyother weekend, planning a wedding and taking a medical terminology class online. Im hoping thats it cuz i really dont want to go back to the pill.Comment

I have a question about Nuvaring. I've had mine in for 12 days, & I started spotting about 2 days ago, It seems to be getting worse. I've had this problem with all birth control pills in the last couple of years. I've tried several different pills, & I spot after about a week on all of them. The only pill that didn't make me spot was Ortho Novum 1/50, but it turned me into a complete psycho, & made me break out. My doctor also didn't want to leave me on that long term because it's such a high dosage. I was hoping Nuvaring would be my savior because I HATE using condoms! Anyway, it also seems I have a yeast infection or something too. Other than that, my mood has been great, I haven't broken out or gained weight or anything else. Will the breakthrough bleeding & yeast infection go away, or do I need to give up on the ring too?Comment

I thought I loved the Nuvaring at first. But after about 5 months of use, and an unnessesary exploratory surgery later, I am now another person you can add to the list of Nuvaring Horror Stories. If you start experiencing any of these, I would recommend going on something else: mood swings, depression, vaginal dryness, yeast infections, bad cramping and pain before, during, and after your period, extremely low sex drive, and cervical pain during intercourse. I am now on my 5th month Nuva-free and back to normal.Comment

as they say its not for every one. I have been on the nuva ring for over 2 years now and i have been prone to vaginal infections but my period have been regular since i started which is the first time in my life. i have always been irregular. I swear by it even thought it dose get uncomfortable. i have always had perfict skin and still do and it doesnt make me anymore crazier then i already am. that is my take on the nuva ring.Comment
