I take Yaz every day like clockwork but I am overweight. I had sex without a condom early Sunday morning. I have been taking Yaz for years. Was wondering if I needed an EC (Before it's too late) or if since I haven't skipped a single active pill if I still would be protected from pregnancy, as it's been in my body for awhile... Thanks!

Yaz for over a year, taken regularly, overweight, still ok?
Hi,
I take Yaz every day like clockwork but I am overweight. I had sex without a condom early Sunday morning. I have been taking Yaz for years. Was wondering if I needed an EC (Before it's too late) or if since I haven't skipped a single active pill if I still would be protected from pregnancy, as it's been in my body for awhile... Thanks!

Thankyou
That makes me feel much better. I had read studies that said that it decreases efficiency if you are overweight, but I take it as directed.
