    Implanon questions

I've had Implanon now for almost 2 yrs this summer. I'm curious to know what side effects & issues that other women are having.

Since it's been implanted, I've always had soreness at the site at some point or another. I've also spotted from time to time but now, I have had almost a normal period for the last two months.

My 11 years old started her period in Feb, I started spotting the entire time that she was on her cycle. Today, she started her's again, & so did I. Now, I used to "synch" with my girlfriends but now after almost 2 yrs of no periods, it's back.

Well i had a horrible time with it, from the week i had it put in i was bleeding not just spotting but like a normal period. I returned to the gp after 3 weeks of this, after blood tests and iron tablets they tried a tablet which was supposed to stop the bleeding after 9 months i decided i wanted it out. I was so physically drained and very sore.

The site was always very sore and they had a great problem getting it out as it was put in wrong and now have a scar about the size of the tea spoon head. Its still sore

I am an extreme case tho, i have had a bad reaction to the injection, implant, two coil have fallen out and one of the pills i have tried didnt work and resulted in my daughter.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. Implanon was a last resort for me. I never remembered to take pills & I hated Depo. The Patch kept slipping off & I gained 15 pounds with Mirena & bled everyday for nearly a yr. I'm loving Implanon right now.

Wow, I have just had mine today put in. I am hoping that it helps. It is my second or third last resort at the moment. Would love to stay with the pill but thats not good for my condition (cyclinical thrush) and I've tried all pills and I still get it.

I've tried the mini pill and that seemed fine just was sick of having to take it at the same time every day as well as the irregularity. I am hoping though that given the implanon and the mini pill are the same hormone that my body is ok on the implanon.
