I was wondering about the possible mental/psychological effect of birth control can have on women, especially women who already have anxiety. Can they make you consumed with anxiety,depression, not even able to get out of bed? Also can they make you completely consumed with thoughts you never normally would have. Like thoughts of money and having material things?
These things happened to me, and after an incident I stopped taking them and almost immediately felt better.
From a medical perspective, are these things plausible?

I think so. I know when I was on the pill I was so down and negative, no energy, worried all the time. When I quit taking them, it was like a giant, heavy cloud lifted off my whole body and mind. I think doctor's minimize the side effects because they just want women to be safe, but I know that for me, it wasn't worth it.

Yes at the time, i experienced even blackouts, doing things not in my right mind, things i would never otherwise do in a million years. I'm trying to do more research on this, but cant find much, Any suggestions?

When I took birth control my doctor had me switch several times because of the mood swings and emotional rollercosters it sent me on. Took about a year but I did find one that worked for me and actually helped me with acne and weight issues.
Maybe you should try a different kind, one with less estrogyn maybe?
