New to site...Ortho TriCyclen Lo question

Hi everyone. I have been on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo for about 10 months now and the past couple of months I have been getting my period earlier than I should (before I start taking the no hormone pills) and will last almost up til I'm ready to start the new pack. Has this happened to anyone else? I am thinking about switching to a different pill, maybe to reg. Ortho Tri Cyclen or Ortho Cyclen..does anyone have any experience with those? Thanks in advance

I switched from Lo to a generic version of Ortho Tri Cyclen (MUCH cheaper - when I took it, Lo didn't have a generic, not sure if it does now.) I did it because Lo wasn't alleviating my menstrual symptoms as well as I wanted. I had no "bad" side effects from either one.
If my period were shifting despite hormonal regulation, I'd be asking a doctor about it. Not to worry you, but it's something to mention.

Unfortunately they stopped producing the generic brand. I had been on Orth Tri-Cyclen Lo for about 4 years, and I managed to get my hands on three months of the generic brand before they apparently stopped. It's a shame, because the generic brand was MUCH better for me, and so much cheaper.

I had pretty regular periods of Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, it worked pretty well. Though my roomate will tell you that she had bad experiences with it causing weight gain and whatnot. The pill affects everyone so differently, it's best to check with your doctor and see what they think.

Personally, I'd try to find a generic brand, the name brands are just getting too expensive (I think Lo is up to $65 or something ridiculous). I just switched to the generic brand of Ortho Tri-Cyclen about a week ago... and ended up in the hospital... you never know, heh.
