When i was admitted into hospital about a month ago with a blood clot i was forced to suddenly stop taking Brenda 2 weeks into my active pills. 2 days later my period started (obviously forced to early) now my concern is that "technically" i should have started my period already for this month, but it hasnt started....anyone have any information for me if you have suddenly stopped taking the pill??

Suddenly stopping birth control
Hello Ladies
When i was admitted into hospital about a month ago with a blood clot i was forced to suddenly stop taking Brenda 2 weeks into my active pills. 2 days later my period started (obviously forced to early) now my concern is that "technically" i should have started my period already for this month, but it hasnt started....anyone have any information for me if you have suddenly stopped taking the pill?? -
Your body is adjusting to the changes in hormone levels.
Consider what your period is. It is the shedding of the uterine lining, which was a preparation in case conception occured.
You stopped taking the pill and your body shed that lining. Until a new lining has formed and conception has not occured after ovulation, it hasn't got anything to shed. It may be a couple of months until your body restablishes it's normal rhythm based on your hormones rather than the hormones from the pill.
I developed problems with clotting when I was in my 20s and was told I could never take the pill again - its just too risky. You will have to look at other options. Take care of yourself dear one. -
Glad to hear you're okay. Sounds like it may be a wise idea to stay off hormonal BC. There are other options.
And yes, as WC said, your body needs time to adjust. What happened to you after you stopped taking the pill is totally normal.
Stay off those buggers and find something non hormonal that works for you!Comment
