    Birth Control

I am 17, i am planning to move from my hometown, to a town 2 hours an 45 mins away with my fiance's famliy. To do this i need my mothers permission. My mom an i do not get along well at all. I do not like to talk to her or even be around her. My mom says i must be on Birth Control before i can leave. I have never had an exam or anything. I am sexuall active but am very safe about it. I don't think i need Birth Control, and i do not want to go through have the exam. I don't like to be touched an what not, and this would make me very unconfortable. What should i do?

I'm glad to hear you are being safe about sex. And I'm sure that because you are 17, your mom is trying to look out for you when she insists you go on birth control.
At 17, you still have years ahead in your life before kids, so she is thinking about your best interest. Maybe you can explain that you don't want birth control and extra hormones in your body and that you are already very safe and aware about sex. Although you are sexually active, it is not an option you should rule out, just to be on the safe side.

I have told her this, but the reason she insis this is because she know its something i don't want to do, and thinks i won't cause of it. I'm looking for a way around the exam is all. I don't care to take it. I Just don't want to have the exam. Anyways to do that?

At 17 years of age, you should get checked! Especially if you're sexually active. No first ob/gyn visit in comfortable, but you should be taking care your body. talk with your boyfriend about any decision you make, this is both of your futures you're talking about....so make sure you make smart choices, this would be one of the very first!

If you're sexually active you definitely should go for an exam! Yes, they are uncomfortable but necessary.

You may not want to get a pelvic exam, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and do it. If you don't get it now, you'll have to get it later in life for routine checkups, and PAP smears anyway.

I don't see any logic behind taking any birth control because as you said that you are more cautious about it and always use protection. You don't like your mom but its necessary to make her understand your point that you are not going to be involved in any activity which can get you any kind of trouble.
