I'm a big worry wart. sorry Just want to make sure its "normal"

Okay, so this is going on my third cycle of pills but on my second period on OTC-LO. Last month I didnt get my period until the third day into the sugar pills. And this month I have two more days (tonight and tomorrow) of the dark blue active pills before I start the sugar pills.

I've had normal pms symptoms, cramps and ****s, now just cramps. I'm either spotting or I have gotten my period before the start of the sugar pills. Just wondering if its normal to get it a couple days before starting the sugar pills. I think my body is still adjusting to the hormones.

I think I am spotting because there's no blood when I urinate its just a dark discharge like the kind you get right after your period ends.

Ladies, I'm sorry I'm just the ultimate worry wart when things arent "normal" with my body. And this seems to be the new normal for me and I'm just paranoid.

Btw, I am not active, I do not have a boyfriend and I do not believe in sex for fun. So, with that being said, I went on the pill when I did have a boyfriend but we broke up and I did not sleep with him. Just oral sex, so as far as a pregnancy thing is, no I'm not.

Yes you are spotting like any woman would at some point in their lives, it is old blood so nothing to worry about there. Yes it is possible to have your period a couple pills into your placebos, their job is just to make it happen and the pill itself helps with regulating flow in general so it is not at all surprising if you end up with a shorter lighter period. The pill will regulate your system eventually, there can be blips in regularity when your body is getting used to it. Typically it can take a few months to fully regulate but that is up in the air as everyone is different. All in all you are taking the pill and it is doing as it is supposed to so no need to worry.

I was on OTC-LO too, and I never got my period within the first 2 placebo pills. I didn't get it until I was half way through the white pills. It's normal to spot also...you body is just getting used to the hormones. It takes about 3 months for your body to really get adjusted to it.
