birth control is a horrible thing! ... for me!

So i had to go on birth control when i was 18, i realized that the pills made me horribly ill... waves of sick... so then they tried me on the nuva ring... great idea right. since you cant take a pill we will insert this into your vagina. Well no i didnt get nauseous... i just got fat, and a compete loss of sex drive, no point in being on it when i refused to have sex. Oh and did i mention the yeast infections, all the time!!!! and that my body refused to keep the ring up there and continued to push it out! oh and the blatter infections.
And on top of that when i finally got completely feed up and removed the thing and canceled the prescription for it after a year of use... now it turns out i guess i didnt need it anyways, because for the past 7 months i've been trying to conceive and have had no luck whats so ever, my body still after a year of being off of it, has not become regular, and i have no idea when or how long it will take to become fertile again, if i ever was.

Sorry it's been such a rough time for you. Hormonal BC was really rough on me too. I hear story after story. As far as conceiving, that may or may not have anything to do with your BC experience. But you already know that. Be patient with your body and it should bounce back.

Yes I agree BC sucks, they need to have more forms for people who want options.

Do NOT get discouraged, especially not this soon! If you let that happen, trust me, you will make this so much harder on yourself and on hubby. TOnight, get on Walmart or Amazon and order yourself a copy of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler 10th anniversary edition. Get to reading and get to charting. That is your answer to finding out WHY you haven't yet conceived and will help you in so SO many ways. It is truly a life changing read.
