    any ideas whats going on?

I take bc pills on a regular basis my husband and i do not use condoms and i am down to my last two white pills until i start my period, last night we were messing around and i had a brownish discharge, I had also been sick a couple of days and have had diarrea also have had lower back and abdominal pain i believe it is from having diarrea, because i think i got a little case of the food poisoning. but was wondering why i would have brownish discharge so early when my period should be come within the next few days.

Most likely you're just experiencing a bit of "spotting" which is pretty common on birth control pills. The lower back ache is often times indicative of an upcoming "Aunt Flow".

You know your body. If the symptoms don't subside after your period get into your doctor as you could have an infection.

Could there be any chance of being pregnant? since i've been sick and having diarrea for a couple of days then had the flu week ago lower the affect of the pill and possibly be pregnant? would taking a text work since i would still have birth control pills in me?

Brown is old blood, also can be early uterine shedding. All women experience the brown spotting from time to time. Diarrhea can lower the effectiveness of the pill simply because so much fluid is leaving the body but it is not an alarming difference in effectiveness. As long as you have been taking the pill at the same time everyday you will already have a good line up of protection. If you are having sex regardless of the method of protection there is always the chance for pregnancy, nothing is 100% protective. So yes there is a chance of course that you are pregnant, is it a high chance? Likely not. The only thing you can do is keep taking your pills normally, drink water to try and get rid of your flu symptoms and if you really want take a pregnancy test if your period does not show up after the week it is supposed to.
