Hello,

So pardon my open-ness but I really need some guidance as to what might be wrong with my body right now. I was on the Needle birth control for about a year, I had my last needle in September and Still have yet to get a period. I've done one home pregnancy test and it showed negative, also my ex-boyfriend turned out ot be bit of a , and although I do not think I have an STD when I awoke yesterday moring I felt different down south. I noticed it is a deep red and it's like everything is pushing itself out. I;m not sure how to describe it but when I felt to see differences there was much more to feel before actually going in, if that makes sense. Sorry for the vulgarness....any one know what im expreiencing? Am I pregnant, is it an STD I havent heard of? Could it be cause from my lack of periodness?

When you say Needle birth control, are you referning to "the shot" or Depo Provera?

If that is the case, it is very normal for it to take months (sometimes even up to 2 years) to get a regular (or ANY) cycle back after being on that form of BC for an extended period of time. Don't stress, most likely, it is your body still working the hormones out.

If you're still worried and just need piece of mind, set up an appointment with your doctor or clinic and get an exam and STD testing. But from my experience with the shot, I really think you're fine and are just going through the typical "after shot" progression.
