    Plan B and pain

Sorry if this has already been answered. First of all I did have PROTECTED sex 4 weeks ago. It was very short but I was worried the condom leaked or something so I took Plan B about 30 hours later just in case. A week later I had a very heavy period that lasted a week. I am having "ovary" pains but I'm not sure when they started. Somehow I got it in my head that the pains mean I am pregnant and I've been worrying the heck out of it. I called the Plan B hotline to ask about side effects but basically all I got out of it was that every woman's body is different. I really think it is highly unlikely that I'm pregnant seeing how we used a condom and how my period was so heavy. Even the idea of taking a pregnancy test freaks me out. I haven't talked to any friends or family about it so I guess I'm looking for advice. I read that it can take time for your periods to be regular again after Plan B so I'm thinking maybe the pains are because I'm getting another one soon. Also I feel that I'm having more discharge. Anyone with experience with Plan B please help. Should I just take a darn test to make sure? Also I am taking bromocriptin to treat a pituitary adenoma if that makes a difference. Thank you

If anything, take a pregnancy test just to ease your worries.

Plan B will screw with your cycle, big time. Should only be taken when absolutely necessary.

When your body has settled down from this and that may be a couple of months. Why not go into Planned Parenthood or your county clinic and get educated about conception control?

WildChild, I do know about birth control haha. I was on Yazmin/Yaz for about 5 years, age 16-21, then came off it. I then got a pituitary adenoma which caused me to lactate and it affected my periods. I am currently taking bromocriptin to shrink the adenoma so I can get back on the birth control. Trust me I wish I'd never gone off Yaz. Also, I wish I had known side effects from Plan B could last so long. I'm making myself insane worrying about pregnancy so I'll probably just take a test even though it scares the out of me to even do that.
