    Other methods besides the pill...

I've been on the pill for about five months, and I've tried two different brands so far, and both caused me so many problems I didn't even want to have sex, which kinda defeats the purpose of taking them. I have constant infections and depression. I'm going back to my doctor, and I will try one more brand, and if those fail me, then I don't know what to do.

Even though I'm on birth control, we still use condoms every time, we both just want to make sure there will be no unexpected pregnancies, hehe.

So I am just looking for other methods, combined with condoms. Because I really hate BC pills, with a burning passion.
I'm afraid to just use condoms. I was thinking condoms + pulling out, except, at the risk of sounding vulgar, we both like it when he orgasms inside me.
I just don't know what to do, I hate BC pills, but I can't get pregnant.

I feel your pain. Well, I used to. I strongly recommend buying yourself a copy of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. Since reading this book and learning everything I could've ever imagined about my reproductive system, how it works, how I can stay in tune with it and know when I'm the most fertile, etc.....I have not taken hormonal bc. We use condoms in addition to the FAM method (which is very thoroughly described in the book). Once you start charting (as you will also learn to do in this book) and have done so for a few months you'll be able to identify the days you are the most fertile. On those days, you could practice condoms + pulling out if that would make you feel safer, or simply abstain on those days.

There are options out there. You'll hear lots of negativity about natural birth control simply because many people who try it do not educate themselves enough in advance to truly be effective with it. Empower yourself. You can buy the book on Walmarts website or Amazon for less than $20. It is well worth the money and will seriously change your life going forward in how you deal with birth control and family planning in your future. Hormonal birth control is definitely not your only option.

I have regular cycles and I use calendar method to contraception. I chart my menstrual cycle with lady's calendar (menstrual calendar app). It helps me to know days when ovulation is possible. So at that days I try to avoid sex or use interrupted intercourse. And it's working.
