    breakthrough bleeding or infection?

For the past 2 weeks or so i've had really weird discharge.
    this has never happened before.
i'm currently on Alesse 21 birthcontrol, it worked perfectly for me up until these past few weeks. I should mention that I'm using the pill as 1) protection obviously and 2) to skip my period because i cannot use tampons i'm too scared and pads are just .

anwyays, all of a sudden I started to get really weird discharge. It differs from a brown to a yellow color to a white color. Sometimes it's a weird texture and other times it looks like normal discharge. Besides the weird discharge, I have no other symptoms of an infection. No itch, I don't think it smells any different.

I'm really nervous about going to the doctor and getting whatever it is checked out. I just had sex for the first time on Monday but have been eaten out and rubbed down there for a couple months by the same guy and he doesn't seem to have an infection or anything going on down there.

My mom bought me a yeast infection kit with itch cream, and a pill that I need to insert into my vagina. Should I suck it up and try to put it up there or go see the doctor first? I'm really scared about this and I passout really easily when I need to goto the doctors because I have bad anxiety.

Why are you scared of tampons if you're able to have sex? Tampons are way smaller and you don't even feel them when inserted properly. You're going to have to have your period at some stage in life.

It's hard to say what your discharge is. Could be yeast, but it can be hard to tell if this is your first time ever having strange discharge.

I would suggest going to the doctor this first time, before trying any home remedies. Once you find out what it is, you'll be able to recognize it if it ever comes up again.

Please don't be nervous about the doctor. You're not going in for cancer treatment, right? Just a normal check-up. You'll be going to someone who sees patients like you 100 times a day and could do the appointment in his/her sleep.

A doctor's job is to help you.

A birth control pill might work perfect for you......until it doesn't anymore. The thing is, as your own bodys natural hormones change with time, so will your bodies reaction to the synthetic hormones you're putting into it. I, for one, have ALWAYS disagreed with doctors who say that skipping your period is totally fine and healthy. I have no medical degree to back that up..I have only my own body and experiences. Your body is smarter than anyone you could ask, if you truly listen to it. Normally I'd say "breakthrough bleeding" without a doubt due to your birth control pill. But because of the yellow you mention, I'd get it checked out by your gynecologist just to rule out any looking infections. That is NOT an area of your body you want to get an infection in.

Are you scared to us tampons because of toxic shock syndrome? Back at one time, the way tampons were made and the material they were made from were more risky to cause things like toxic shock. Therefore it required more frequent changing etc. Now days, they are made much differently. Should you change your tampon regularly when you urinate or have a bowel movement? Yes. But are you going to get toxic shock and croak if you leave it in a couple hours too long? Most likely not.

Don't be scared of your period. This is what your body naturally does. This is what your body wants to do in order to be and feel healthy. Now is the time to think about experimenting a bit with tampons so you can get past your fear of using them. They are truly nothing to be scared of.

Get to your doc and get yourself checked out so you can put your mind to ease.

Okay, i'll probably go sometime this weekend then.

I know it sounds silly and makes no sense that I could have sex yet still be afraid to use tampons but I think the issue is that with tampons I'm sitting there alone trying to put it in myself. I get really fainty easily and when I try using a tampon I start to get anxious and fainty.
