Hello!
I got my period Jun 27, and had unprotected sex on July 9, so I took "next choice" on July 10th... I was soo wrong about this medication, I thought it would prevent ovulation during the whole cycle, so I had unprotected sex again on July 15th.
I am sooo worried now I could be pregnant. I'm feeling queasy stomach, and my nipples are soo sore.
Is all this because Im about to get my period, or could I be pregnant?
And can somebody explain to me, how come if that medication is intended to delay ovulation, it says you could have and earlier period?

Ultimately there's no way to say for certain whether you're pregnant or not, based on symptoms like you've described. They could be due to anything, and they're also easy to imagine.

If you miss your period by a whole week or more, then take a home pregnancy test (just buy one at the shop). That'll let you know for certain.

You could be pregnant or not.

Chances are... You wouldn't be exhibiting symptoms this early on. However, this could be the side effects of the MAP.

I just read the next choice website and I didn't see anywhere where it said it would delay ovulation. It says it prevents, ovulation, fertilization and implantation over a short period of time. It also states "It is important to remember that unprotected sex after treatment with Next Choice may result in pregnancy."

To get somewhat accurate results on a pregnancy test. You will need to wait a couple more weeks to test.
