First time user :/
Wondering if anyone can help me!? My boyfriend and I have always just used condoms and I'm now desperate to get onto the pill! I was prescribed Yasmin today, and am wondering when I can ideally start using it. I'm due my period in a couple of days, but I'm not in a hurry to be protected over this time, as that's a sex free few days anyway! Just everywhere I read, I'm told to take the pill on the first day of my menstrual cycle so I'm protected over this time. Is it okay to just take it in a weeks time, when this months period is finished? Hope this makes sense because I really need other women's help and n ot just another computer! Thank you. -
Right, so by taking it the day my period starts, by the time my period ends I'll be okay to have unprotected sex? Do I just take the one on the first day and then no more until my period is finished, or take them for the full 21 days? Hope I'm making sense here? Just don't want to damage my body or anything by taking it when I shouldn't!Comment

The pill works via continuously supplying your body with hormones. You must take it correctly for it to work.
It's suggested to start the pills on Day 1 (or the first Sunday of) your period so that it won't throw your cycle out of whack.<center><i>Nature gives us shapeless shapes,<br>Clouds and waves and flame,<br>But human expectation is that love remains the same,<br>And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.</i><br><a href="http://www.womens-health.com/boards/register.php">Register</a>|<a href="http://www.womens-health.com/boards/members/little.html">Contact Admin</a>|<a href="mailto:support*womens-health.com?subject=Forum Contact">Email Admin</a></center>Comment
