Scared to death!!
First of all Im a guy and I am very scared. On the night of October 29th my girlfriend and I were sleeping and woke up and starting having fun in the middle of the night. I didnt expect much because I didnt have a condom. Anyways it got a little far but I pulled out and I know that is not at all reliable but she is also on birth control. I know she took her birth control that night and hasnt missed a pill long before that. About 4 days later she forgot to take her pill at night but did the next morning. I am really scared and would fully support her if this ended up with a pregnancy. A little more info, she just had her period about a week before. Shes been on the pill for about 6 months. I know they are the pills that the last week is just sugar pills. She claims we are fine but I still wanna know more. -

Not to make you worry, but some internet research I did has shown that many doctors and fertility experts believe sperm to live up to five days in a woman's fallopian tubes. She only missed her pill by 9 hours, not too big of a deal, I bet you are fine.
I just wanted to make sure people on the the forum in general know that 5 days is the number to keep in mind, and not to be complacent after 2 or 3.Comment

I'm sure you'll be fine, me and my fella got very naughty last month and their were two occasions where we had sex unprotected, and as I'm currently having a month or two off contraception it scared the out of me when I got back into my right mind... but I was fine, no baby for me. Of course there are hundreds of cases when by some small obscure chance people have got pregnant through missed pills later in the cycle and all sorts.. but remember that the pill isn't 100% effective to begin with, so there's always going to be a chance of pregnancy.
When you do have a slip up it can be quite scary but the best thing to do is keep a cool head and remember what's done is done. Increased stress levels could make your girlfriend late in her cycle and that will just scare you both even more. Just try and relax and if she does end up pregnant you can cross that bridge and take whatever route is better for the two of you then. There's no point in peeing your panties just yet!!

I saw this to, but I went to a pharmacist and she said 72 hours. All my research says sperm will like for about 4-5 days. We had a long discussion with her about everything and she says for the most part she thinks we will be fine but their is always a chance. Not to make you worry, but some internet research I did has shown that many doctors and fertility experts believe sperm to live up to five days in a woman's fallopian tubes. Really strong sperm can live about 5 days. However, the average sperm life is 3 days. The pill keeps her from ovulating, so without birth control there is already a very small window where she can get pregnant. There's no reason to fret over it. Although, in my experience, nature has a way of messing with people when they're worried, so she may be late for a day or so on her period. If it will make you feel better, pick up a pregnancy test a few days before her period is to start.Comment

Yea, and thats why we went to talk to a pharmacist is to help her stress. She feels wayy better about it and we are just not talking about it all unless it comes. We talked all weekend about everything and we just agreed its best for our stress to let nature take its course and make a decision IF the time comes. I know their will always be that chance but I think odds are on our side since she has been on birth control for about 5-6 months, she was on her 5th or 6th pill of this cycle, so she wasnt ovulating yet and and the one she missed was 4 days later BUT she took it very next morning. Also the fact I pulled out means there will be a significant less chance since pre cum doesnt have as much. I read out of the average of like 150 million sperm only a few hundred will make it to an egg.Really strong sperm can live about 5 days. However, the average sperm life is 3 days.
