    new face here! depo questions???

well this is my whole problem.i only had one dose of depo and it was the worst mistake of my life.i weighted 130 when i first got on it now im like 150.im sad ALL the time i could be mad or in my sensitive mood with my boyfriend and will cry for like and hour.before i started the shot my friends all told me it was good.the only thing my doctor told me about the shot was that there was a 50/50 chance of having my period while on the shot.(some have it the whole time and some dont have it at all) the entire time i had my period every month but it lasted 2 weeks instead of 1 and it was very heavy everytime. well the good thing is my 3 months are up and a week after i missed the shot my period started again but it was completly normal it lasted a week and wasent super heavy like before.does this mean that i can get pregnant now that i am not on anything and my period is back to normal? or is it gonna take longer than that? how long will it take for me to even start ovulation? thanks for all the help!!!

Yeah, Depo is the devil! I had many of the same problems and plus some with depo. As far as ovulation, everyone is going to be different. I didn't start my period until six months after my last shot was done. Then I had 3 periods before getting pregnant ( or so I thought). I miscarried, and at the hospital found out that it in fact was a blighted ovum, which is where the implantation doesn't form into a fetus, but your body continues to think it is pregnant. It was a horrible experience and I really think it had something to do with the Depo. My friend also had the exact same thing happen to her after depo. Hopefully when you finally get pregnant (assuming you are trying) you won't have to go through that! Good luck!

I didn't get my period at all on the depo, but that didnt worry me. I was also very emotional while i was on it. That was the reason i stopped.
