Hi guys, I'm 18 and have been on the pill for probably about 2 years now. The main point of this thread is to understand why it is Wednesday, and I do not have my period yet, when I normally would be at a regular flow by Wednesday of my period week. But, I want to give some background and understanding of possible complications that may have contributed to this, so you guys can give me the best possible explanation. SO, I used to be on the 3 month pill, bc the main reason I started the pill is bc I have acne problems, and the pill helps a lot, but when I have my period, it gets bad again. So, we figured...hey, less periods, less acne. Unfortunately, that did not work for me, because during sex if it had been more than a month since i started my cycle, I would sometimes bleed, which I determined was relatively normal and it happens bc my period is kind of waiting to be released by my pill, and the orgasms are tightening and loosening of those muscles, allowing the blood to release. So, because of that I went back onto the 1 month pill. I've been on that for maybe 3 months now. So far so good.
Then my boyfriend went away for a month to England. By chance, my family was also taking a vacation there for one week. So, we met up. But, it was supposed to be my period week. So what I did was after the third week of pills before my vacation I did not allow my period, I went on to the next start of pills, so I wouldn't have my period during my vacation/when I was with my boyfriend. When we had sex, I did bleed a tiny bit, so I thought maybe that is because I kept myself from having my period. This week I started my "period pills" that I should have taken the week before, and there has been absolutely no sign of my period. Normally I would be spotting monday or tuesday, and bleeding regularly by wednesday into thursday, then it'd die down. What could have happened?
ALSO, it is important to note that my boyfriend and i ALWAYS use condoms. We've never had sex without one. I did switch my BC, but have had my period since then. I also am on antibiotics, which I know MAY reduce the use of them, but theres not evidence to support that, and again, we always use condoms.
Could I be pregnant? Should I wait until I get my period to start a new cycle of pills? Should I start my new cycle of pills Sunday like I normally would...even though I don't have my period?
ANY insight would be so very appreciated. I will be on regularly today looking for help, and if anyone has further questions please ask! I'm just a young girl who's confused and worried, and any advice/support would be appreciated!

Pregnancy is always a possiblity if you are sexually active, maybe you should take a over the counter pregnancy test to be sure. With that said, I have been told by several doctors that a missed period every now and again is not anything to worry about, especially while on the pill.

yeah, I will head out to get a test today. I know that sometimes on the pill people miss their periods, but typically isnt that is the pill lightens your period a lot anyways? I still have pretty heavy periods even on the pill, so it seems very strange that it hasn't come at all.
