So, I am 20 years old and have been taking birth control for about 2 years now and have always had irregular periods before taking birth control and somewhat since I started taking it as in I would miss them, some were long and some were short, some were light and some were heavy, and then some were just really really weird and gross. Anyways, when I started taking the pills my doctor told me I didnt have to take the white placebo pills every month which I mostly didnt want to do because my period is so weird and I have problems with UTI's and noticed that my period made those more frequent and more painful. So, I took my placebo pills this week and started my period however it was very light and today i'm not bleeding at all. Is that normal for a period on birth control?? In the past they didnt really just stop after 2 days and were a little heavier and more consistent. Has anyone else had a similar problem because this is worrying me since it just randomly stopped which makes me think its spotting which I searched for information about this already and I read that spotting could mean you are pregnant....

Birth Control/Irregular Period concern
Hey everyone,
So, I am 20 years old and have been taking birth control for about 2 years now and have always had irregular periods before taking birth control and somewhat since I started taking it as in I would miss them, some were long and some were short, some were light and some were heavy, and then some were just really really weird and gross. I originally went on the pill specifically to control my very heavy periods, although I now also use it for birth control. It immediately made my periods shorter and much lighter. My periods before the pill could run to 6 or 7 days; when I first went on the pill they became more like 4 days, and now about 4 1/2 years later) it's down to 3. So I would say that what you're experiencing is normal. -
Dont worry about this, i was on birth control puills before and the same thing happend to me. My period has never been normal since i was yunger, sometimes my period wouldnt even come for months, but when i had my first baby i decided to take another birth control method besides pills, i really never liked taking pills because sometimes i even forgot to take them, so i decided to get this arm implant method that last 3 years and it really helped me out of course besides not getting pregnant again, it made my period regular now i have it every month and it also helped me lose weight, but yeah dont be too scared about it this things happen you are not the only one dont get scared.Comment
